How can Botox®/Xeomin® and/or dermal filler benefit me?
What Is Botox®/Xeomin® and how does It work? Visible fine lines and wrinkles can be caused by underlying muscle tension. Botox® and Xeomin® act on the nerves that stimulate muscle contraction. As a result, muscle contractions are reduced, allowing for relaxation of the muscles. Once relaxed by Botox® or Xeomin®, the skin will appear softer, smoother, and more youthful. How long does Botox®/Xeomin® last? Botox® and Xeomin® injections typically last between 3-4 months or longer which makes it easy to receive ongoing care for cosmetic concerns or TMJ related symptoms. Recurring injections can be provided during regular dental visits. BOTOX® FAQ'S Am I a candidate for using Botox®/Xeomin® and/or dermal filler? Administration of Botox®/Xeomin® does not lead to a "frozen face." Our providers have been thoroughly trained to treatment plan and inject properly to allow for full range of facial expressions. DERMAL FILLER FAQ'S How does dermal filler work and what can It do for me? Dermal Filler treatment can be used to address wrinkles around the mouth, or"smile lines". It can also improve the appearance of your smile without extensive dental treatment. By injecting these hyaluronic acid-based fillers into the lips and around the mouth, the skin is plumped and lifted, reducing the appearance of these lines for a smoother, more youthful appearance. Dermal filler can also be quite effective in treating cracked lips, gummy smiles, and asymmetries. How long does dermal filler last? Dermal filler can last up to one year. |
